E3000 xserver won't start

Hello

after having installed server edition to my e3000 i wanted to change to desktop edition and got apt to get all the necessary files working still on 6.06. But the xserver won't start. I have done some recofigure but the best I get is an error message "fatal error 11"
my grafic card is a cg6
and my monitor is a sun ??? 21"
does anybody know which parameters I have to enter to get this to work
