Hi, So I just upgraded to Ubuntu 8.04 Absolutely love it but I have one small problem. And that is I have no proprietary drivers on my system for my Nvidia 9600's...I've tried manually installing them and everything but nothing seems to be working :( as well because I don't have the drivers I can't enable desktop effects :( I click extra effects and it flashes the screen and pretends to do stuff but then I get a notice saying "Can't Enable Extra Effects". Now, something that kinda ticks me off is that I also have Ubuntu 8.04 installed on my brothers Laptop, only difference is his was able to find the drivers for his graphics card and I can't. His graphics card is also Nvidia.
Could it be that Ubuntu 8.04 just doesn't have support for the 9600 series yet or is is something else? If anyone knows how to solve this problem I would love them forever!

Intel Core 2 Quad processor
Dual Booting Windows XP and Ubuntu 8.04
Thank You for the help guys!!
