I just reinstalled Gutsy cause Hardy was giving me a hard time. Now, I can't move my windows with compiz installed. At first, I didn't have window borders at all. So I installed xserver-xgl and rebooted. Now I have window borders, but I can't move them.

Example - I click and hold on the upper border of a window and move my mouse - and it's locked. Nothin happens. It stays put. If I turn off my compiz settings, everything is fine.

Any ideas?

Do you have the Move Window plugin enabled?

When I enable that, I can move the windows... but that's ALL I can do. I can't actually use the windows. Anywhere I click on any window at that point is simply to grab it and hold it while I move it. It takes away any functionality of that particular window I would typically have.

Just tried this with simple-ccsm under hardy, and I got the same issues.
