Compiz disable/ enable script

Sometimes I need batteries and compiz is not a battery friend.

I'm thinking on an easy way to make a desktop toolbar switch to turn compiz off and on (with personal settings recovered).

Does anyone have an idea how to help me?

Install fusion icon from the repositories, it will allow you to switch back and forth between Metacity (GNOME's default) and Compiz easily.
