View Full Version : [ubuntu] [SOLVED] playing .cue files (flac)

Hi. For simplicity when ripping my music collection, I just saved the cds as flac image files and the accompanying cue files. In windows I used foobar2000 to play these. I could just drag the ".cue" into a playlist and it would allow me to play back the flac by individual tracks. If I were to drop the flac in there instead the entire cd would show up as one track.

I have a new install of 8.04, and Rhythmbox will not use my .cue files. Therefore I am not able to skip tracks while playing back my ripped files.

Is there a program for Ubuntu that I can use to play these ".cue" files? Thanks.

unfortunately it's not possible under linux. i have read some rumors that amarok2 may support this in the future.

meanwhile i'm using foobar2000 in wine. not so great. [sigh] i wish i could code... the world needs f2k for all OSs
