8.04 Recommended USB WiFi Adaptors?

I am currently looking to get a new USB WiFi adaptor for my PC and I have been looking through the Wiki on Supported Wireless Cards (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/WirelessCardsSupported), most of the USB Wireless adaptors listed are no longer the current model or have been discontinued.

I am just wondering which currently available USB WiFi adaptor (ideally one that works out of the box) would be best for use with Ubuntu 8.04?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I recentley bought the netgear wg111v2. It works perfectly for me but its only 54g.

There are a lot of different versions of the WG111v2, some work, some don't, so it's a gamble.

I can confirm that these work OOTB with all versions of Ubuntu since Edgy.

Yeah, seems I did get very lucky! 128bit WEP worked out of the box for me as well. I will try the WPA sometime and test that too.

Maybe on your box, but on my gateway mt-series laptop running hardy, my essentials doesn't work for sh**.

wg111v2 and wpn111 both work perfect but with limitation.
