Hi. There.

I'm using computers for 15 years now and beside Amiga I always had PC with Windows.

I have formated my drives and now there is no OS on my PC.
I always find linux as something mythical but now I have decided to install it as my new OS.

As I'm hard core user of Photoshop and many other graphic programs this is big decision especially as I decided to have only Ubuntu; no windows on my drives!

I downloaded Ubuntu studio 32 bit which I find best suited for my needs (I will wait a bit longer with x64).

All I have to do before install is to flash BIOS with new version.

So as this is big thing for me and my PC I could be really thankful if someone give me some reference from which to start.

Thanks

You are going to have so much fun dude! Sure there will be some problems to solve but it sounds like you are more than capable to figure things out.

Enjoy! :)

good luck with starting ubuntu. gimp is the one to compensate for the loss of photoshop though there is going to be photoshop online where you can do your pictures there on linux. once again, good luck.
