Hello,

How do I change the ubuntu logo that is displayed when Ubuntu starts up?
You know, the one with the progress bar beneath. Speaking of which, can that bar be changed, as well? I didn't find any theme for that on gnome-look...

I hope it's as easy as replacing an image file somewhere in a system folder (it's ok if as a result the ubuntu circle logo is not available anymore)

Arutha, I think what you are looking for is an alternative theme for "usplash". There are several alternatives in the repositories. If you want others, you could do a search to find out what else is possible.

By the way, I think it is not Gnome related. At boot time, there is no commitment as to which DM you are going to use.

Cheers, Pat
