Compiz never really worked great for me in Gusty. I decided to take the leap and upgrade to Hardy yesterday, and everything seems fine except for this minor issue I'm encountering.

As shown here, I have two Compiz in my Compiz-fusion tray icon:
69078

When I login, it starts with the middle one (broken) and I don't have any UI enhancements, but when I switch it to the top one, it works fine.
Is there a way for me to remove the broken entry and default it to the working one?

I think I have a similar problem.

see --> http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=780553

perhaps you suffer from multiple compiz.real instances too and the fusion-icon cannot decide which one to display?

Unfortunately not... (I got all excited >_<)
I only have one compiz instance running:
chiisana@Hayate:~$ ps -A | grep compiz
1279 ? 00:10:51 compiz.real
chiisana@Hayate:~$
