I'm trying to install Mythbuntu-8.04 on my HTPC. After bootup with the i386 LiveCD it seems the video resolution on my plasma tv is set to 640x480 during installation which makes the install quite hard to follow (can't see the forward/back buttons etc).
Doing some searching I've found how to use the Alt key to move the installer window around and thus could hopefully fully install mythbuntu.
Is there a way to set the video resolution before installation though? Something like vga=1024x768 perhaps?

That's interesting. I've never seen it come up less than 800x600. We squeezed the window to make it fit into 800x600 :)
You can try safe graphics mode (it may actually come up with a higher resolution). If that doesn't work out well, you can always plug in a monitor during installation, and switch to the plasma after.
