I made a live CD like 5 times now and every time I put it in and wait for it to show the main Ubuntu menu for a live CD and I highlight "Try ubuntu without changing your comp" and press enter. The disc spins, but nothing happens. Same thing with check CD for defects.
Help? Me =

Post your specs.

Your cd might have been burned wrong. If you have a spare try again and remember to check the cd for errors after, and burn on the slowest possible speed.
EDIT: Also use cd-r and make sure you check the md5sum of the download. k3b is a good burner, and infra recorder on xp/vista

Yea, I have been erasing and rewriting this CD a lot...
I'll try a new one.
My specs are fine: Core 2 Duo @ 2.00 GHZ, 2GB RAM, 335MB VidRam, 160 GB HDD (30 GB partitioned to Ubuntu and Vista is hogging all the rest)

Use a CD-R of good quality. Burn at 4x or less after doing md5sum.

I don't have any CD-Rs at the moment but plenty of CD-RWs. I will use an unused one at minimum speed after checking it.
I will use CD-Rs from now on though; thanks for the tip.
