Ive downloaded the latest Ubuntu Hardy iso from http://releases.ubuntu.com/8.04/ubuntu-8.04-alternate-i386.iso
How can I upgrade my existing Ubuntu Gutsy to Hardy via that CDROM?
Can I upgrade to the new ubuntu by adding that cdrom to the synaptic package manager and by clicking upgrade in the update manager? Help me?

Just put the alternate CD into your CD-drive, while runing Gusty. It should detect it automatical and give you the option to start the upgrade process.

Insert the CD, wait till it is show on the desktop and double-click on it or go over computer and nagigate on it. Than you should get the window.
