I am having trouble running steam games in wine and ive been told that the newer versions 9.59 9.60 and now 9.61 have trouble with ati cards and i should go back to and older version.
So I was gonna go back to 9.50 ? and try that but how do I uninstall 9.61 and select another package.
thx

Hello BBB, when my app not work in newer version of wine i install packages from this site http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/archive/index.html
to install download this package to any dir goto terminal and put this
sudo apt-get remove wine (to remove instaled version)
sudo dpkg -i wine_0.9.XX~winehq0~ubuntu~X.XX-1_iXX.deb (installs manualy the .deb package)

Have you tried PlayOnLinux (http://www.playonlinux.com)? You can install as many versions as you want then and assign any game to any version and tweak them individually : )
