View Full Version : [ubuntu] Nvidia Latest Drivers Low-Graphics Mode

Hello,

a lot of people are having this problem, but i wasn't able to fix it.

i tried reinstalling, but doesnt work...

when i boot up, the screen flickers three times and then it kicks into low graphics mode...

this did not happen to me with old ubuntu 7.10

this is a clean install???? what the hell??

any help much appreciated!

right-click on the menu's and select Edit Menus, then go into Other and enable screens and graphics... from there chose your monitor (or generic lcd / crt) and confirm, then set your screen resolution, log out and back in... should work...

are you familiar with this problem that everyone are having, and will tat fix the problem?

i reinstalled driver, reconfigured with nvidia-xconfig.
went in, worked, and started nvidia-settings
selected my monitor, phillips 109b5
and rebooted, seems to work fine now.
