Hey everyone, I have just insatalled Ubuntu 8.
After installing it, i thought everything was ok, and that i only needed to "adjust" it, by downloading the updates etc.
But after restarting my pc, ubuntu was reset... EVERYTHING i downloaded had disapeared, my wallpaper went back to default.
Only a few things stayed the same, Such as my internet conectivity, my recently viewed files, and when i opened the Firefox browser my bookmarks had gone, but firefox managed to remembered that i had google open the last time.
When i change my wallpaper, then log on, and log back on, the wallpaper stays the same, But when i reboot the pc, everything resets.
Iv tried re-installing ubuntu with no luck. I think iv made it worse, because it seems i have now TWO installations fo ubuntu, while i thought that durring the installation proccess, Ubuntu does a format of the selected partition ? It did not.
If anyone could please help me get on my way with using ubuntu, i would greatly appreciate it.
