Hey, this must be good news...

Does that mean that we now get better flash support in *nix system, ESPECIALLY Ubuntu?

What are your thoughts?

My take is that adobe seems to be more concerned with allowing mobile companies to distribute readers for their format. Though this announcement vaguely mentions changes in the license, I doubt it'll be any actual Open Source stuff, despite the "Open Screen" name (what does that even refer to anyway?). But if the licenses are changed drastically then maybe gnash will benefit, maybe not.

Edit: also the 'free' that adobe speaks of is definitely 'free as in beer, not speech' (though I'm really hoping adobe will one-day prove me wrong on that)
