I have one laptop + additional monitor, keyboard and mouse. My question is: will it be possible with Ubuntu or any other Linux distribution to use the second monitor, keyboard and mouse completely separate, so that two people can work on the same time without interefering each other. For example when I type with the external keyboard I want this to be shown only on the external monitor, but not on the LCD. Thanks a lot in advance.

Maybe. It really depends on your laptops hardware, specifically the video card. What you're looking for is known as multiseat.

This looks like a pretty good howto:

slaff, check out (and vote! ) these Brainstorms to make this a reality. In the mean time, google for userful (a non free option doing what you're looking for)
