i performed clean install of 8.04 (which i very very regret now) and have this problem: Ubuntu can see XP machines in a domain (through Places > Network...), but it doesn't show their shared resources
i can type smb://XPmachine/sharename, though, and access files, but it's not very convenient
shares of win2000 machines are visible
and second (related, i think) and more urgent problem: i cannot use a printer, if it's connected to XP machine: Ubuntu 8.04 just doesn't see SMB share. If i type manually smb://XPmachine/printershare in New printer dialog, it's not verified (through Verify button) and print jobs don't go nowhere
