Guys, I'm just 3 days into Ubuntu. This is the first non-Windows OS I'm using. Now I'm just playing around with it, trying out new things and installing new softwares through Add/Remove Applications.

But I've got one problem. I have a connection with a Download Limit of 1.2 GB. So I need to know the size of softwares I'm installing. Is there some way to do that?

And sorry, I'm using Ubuntu and not Kubuntu as its there in the 'Prefix'.

If you install apps using the Synaptic Package Manager, it will tell you how big your download will be and how much more or less space will be used on your drive.

Add/Remove Applications is a simplified version of Synaptic Package Manager, but its worth learning how to use it.

There is a tonne of information on the Ubuntu Wiki on how to use the SPM.
