Cannot browse any website

Dear All
I'm facing an issue with my internet connection.
I have one kubuntu 8.04 desktop connecting through the shared internet connection in my win xp workstation.
The question is that:

1) I can ping from each of them to the other successfully
2) I can browse from my win xp workstation to internet without problems.
3) The response from my kubuntu 8.04 using wget http://www.google.es is:
Resolving www.google.es... 66.249.91.99, 66.249.91.147, 66.249.91.104,...
Connecting to www.google.es|66.249.91.99|:80... connected
Request HTTP sent, waiting for response...

And that's all.. I cannot see any website neither from firefox 3 beta nor konqueror

I've checked if ufw was enabled in the kubuntu wkst but was not the case

Any idea why this issue occurs?
