I click on the network manager and go to connect to other network and enter my Hub's name and Wireless key with the key type as 64/128 bit hex then the computers turn into 2 dots and a swirly thing and it says "attempting to join wirel;ess network BtHomeHub" and every so often it keeps asking me for the key and doesn't connect. Why won't it connect?
My router is a BT HomeHub and I am using Ubuntu 8.04

Check what kind of encryption methods used by your router (WEP, WPA, etc).

I don't think I have ndiswrapper installed, but when I try to install it I get lots of errors about undeclared things.

I have the same problem. Its killing me. I built a computer specifically so I could put linux on it and get better using it. Please please please help me. When I had a fresh install of 8.04 the wireless worked fine. I signed on Pidgin and was logged on for a couple days. It started getting hot out here so I turn my computer off and one morning it just stopped working. Now it just keeps asking me for my wep key. I have it and I put it in..then it asks me for it again. I tried connecting manually with nothing.
Tell me what to do and ill do it.
