[SOLVED] Animate the GDM or usplash... is it possible?

Hey folks,

I was wondering if it was possible to include animations in either the GDM screen and/or usplash?

I was thinking of .gif background or vector objects.

well I know its possible to animate the loader bar with usplash but not much else, as for GDM no luck there trying to animate things... its just not good for that sort of thing right now.
