View Full Version : [ubuntu] I Can't Watch Videos After Upgrade

After i upgraded from 7.10 to 8.04.........i have found that either the player i installed or i'm missing codec for the videos..........and i'm not that far enough experienced to know how to get the right plugin to watch videos on youtube and google.......but i'm get an error saying that i have to download flash media player to watch videos.........i have tried to go to they're website to download the linux tar version.........but as i said i'm not experienced enough to know if i did the install right.........all in all........i still can't what any videos at all...........can someone help?.......

Had the same problem, see here (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=4877270). To solve it, either rightclick on the non-playing video, then click settings->privacy(second icon)->advanced and fill in your preferred security settings, or simply go to http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager.html
