HELP! Can't play xVid-encoded .avi file in ANY program!

Please help me out here. I did the guide a the top of this forum and it didn't help at all.

I have pretty much every media player installed, VLC, XINE-UI, MPLAYER. None of them will run it.

It's a Xvid AVI file that i know for a fact works. I just can't even open it. I get "file type" errors...

How do i watch it?
