Hello,

I have been trying to fing information about running Mythbuntu from USB stick to be able to use frontend from my Windows laptop. Idea would be to boot the laptop via USB to get Mythbuntu running.

Ideally the USB should be writable (not like live CD) as also other work could be then done with it.

Is this even possible?

Any hints / tips for this dream?

Thanks!

A few options:

1) If you've got a flash drive that has smart wear leveling, you can just install directly to the USB stick

2) If you want to use the combination stick / CD, you can do so for just a frontend. Settings can be saved to the stick

3) You can copy the contents of the CD to the stick and use "persistent" mode. Ther eis a bug with this in Hardy though and you will have to re-roll your initramfs to make it work.
