Sound Recorder

Hello all--I notice my sound recorder isnt working with 8.04-It tells me to configure my settings in multimedia settings--But i dont have that menu--Any fixes out there.. Other then that--UBUNTU 8.04 ROCKS!! Solid no error OS on my end anyway--except for the sound recorder..

I have 8.04 running FLAWLESS! Thanks MARK

set record input to Mix record as cd quality lossy worked for me hope this helps bullfrog2

Did you get a useful solution? I have the same problem -- when I try to open Sound Recorder I get a little window that says my setting are not correct and to fix them in 'Multimedia settings'. Sound Recorder doesn't actually open, so I don't seem to have a place to "set record input to Mix record" as bulfrog2 suggested. Unless that is a thing to do in some other application?

Follow this guide and set up pulseaudio correctly.
