Hi,

i know that it may me sound as a silly question, but anyway, here it goes:

I have a Windows network at home and a usb printer (epson stylus r300) attached (and shared) on one of them.
At my personal laptop i have installed Hardy and i am wondering if i can print from Ubuntu to that printer ? Is this possible ??

Thanks for any help on this.

Yes it is. Go to System>Admin>Printing. Then click new printer. Go to Windows Printer via SAMBA. Browse to the printer location and your set. Make sure your windows computer is sharing the printer.

this didn't work so easily for me...in fact, it made the printer move and shift, but no print.

After upgrading from gutsy, I've lost the option in the printer setup gui to print on a Windows Printer via SAMBA. Any ideas?

EDIT: Resolved itself.
