So I'm about to rebuilt my machine and dual boot Vista Enterprise x64 and Ubuntu 8.04 x64 - which should I install first?

Install Vista first. Then Ubuntu. If you do it the other way round, you will have to play with restoring the grub boot loader.

Its better to go with installing Vista first like Michael said.

That's how i did it the first time around installing ubuntu... but since I'm doing a complete wipe this time thought I'd check to make sure. thanks!
