View Full Version : [gnome] Confused by print quality settings (Epson Stylus CX 3100)

I have an Epson Stylus 3100 shared on a Windows XP box, which I'm printing to from my Ubuntu 7.10 box. On one account on the Ubuntu box, it all works fine. On another, the print quality is set to something akin to "very high", thus each page takes ages to print.

Can someone point me at a way to set the print quality on a per-user (or perhaps per-program) basis, so I can figure out exactly what's going on here?

As a side note, I'm pretty sure (but not certain) that I have the correct driver installed.

I'm pretty sure this is a PEBKAC, but I still need help :)

Many thanks.

It will differ from driver to driver what exact options are available, but it should be possible to alter printing settings by going to System > Administration > Printing, then selecting your printer and choosing the Printer options tab, there you should be able to change the resolution under Print quality (e.g. economy, draft etc.).
