View Full Version : Where to get old default artwork?

Three questions:

1) Where can the original (at least as of last weekend) default artwork be found? An example screenshot can be found at http://www.newsforge.com/blob.pl?id=22ccca771f704420a17a1ff9fff76de4

2) In the screenshot above, the logo is, for lack of a better/more descriptive word, transparent. I've been to the artwork wiki, but I've not yet been able to figure out a way to make use of the transparent .svg log. I'd very much like to be able to recreate that logo style, most likely in/on a Human brown-paletted background.

3) What is the font used for the Ubuntu logo?

TIA!

You can try this for the background.
Computer->Desktop Preferences->Desktop Background
Choose. Ubuntu Watermark.

The actual watermark file can be found at /usr/share/backgrounds/ubuntu-watermark.png

The last update has blown away my /usr/share/backgrounds/ubuntu-watermark.png (and the people too, but I don't mind that), does anyone have a copy?

you might look here (http://www.ubuntuforums.org/viewtopic.php?t=1324). it's been turned into a .deb (probably will be added to the repositories soon). ubuntu-artwork is now just the non-controversial pics, and ubuntu-calendar (i think that's the name, i forget) contains the controversial pics.
