qemu, guest ubuntu hardy failed in step setting-up grub

Hi
I successfully installed qemu as host.

I want to run ubuntu hardy server as guest.
The installation starts but it gets stuck in the step of setting up grub.
Anybody experiencing the same issue?
If not how how did you achieve it?

I have an amd64 cpu.
