I recently picked up a PowerMac G3 with 64MB RAM, running OS8.5 for £5.
Im currently trying to dig out some old PC133 RAM for it, and Im installing a USB card with 4 extra ports and a Gigabit ethernet card. Im also jamming my old 80GB hard disk in too. Then i can go about finding a copy of OSX Jaguar or Panther.
Im currently using a USB mouse, but have no keyboard. Must I get a mac, or can I use a pc keyboard and label the equivalent keys?
Also, it has no monitor, and I have very little money at the moment. I was offered a 17" CRT but I dont have the space.
Is there some way to use my other laptop as its monitor, or log onto the mac somehow using the laptop, as if it was a remote server type thing (im very inexperienced with this, and so an explanation would be nice).
The laptop is running PCLinuxOS 2007. I do have another laptop thats an old thinkpad with Win 98 if thats any help.
Thanks in advance.
