Hello,

I just installed xmms2 in terminal, it says that every thing installed correctly. Although there is no link in my applications menus to it. Is there any way to manually add this, or is this an error with xmms?

Thanks,

Boeding

I'm pretty sure that xmms2 does not come with a gui for it. So you have to find a gui to run on top of it :).

I use XMMS the first version and it puts a lovely little icon into the applications menu.

Perhaps you can find this icon somewhere and use it for XMMS2?

You may find a better application in audacious

looks like xmms and can be skinned like xmms

Maybe you will find something useful here. (http://wiki.xmms2.xmms.se/wiki/XMMS2_Clients#Web_Clients)

Sweet. That's a nice list of xmms2 clients.

I've just been looking around for something similar to winamp but most of the xmms2 graphical clients (like gxmms2) are very minimalistic or still under development (like Promoe). Does anyone here know off the top of their heads any xmms2 clients that have a strong winamp feel?

There's a systray integration:

sudo apt-get install xmms2tray
