Should I opt for RAM or graphics card for 80 $? i have intel 915 gv mobo , 256 mb ddr2 ram .

IMHO, I'd go with more RAM, but that's just me.

with only 256MB of RAM currently, definitely RAM.

more RAM will o more to speed up your machine than a graphics card ever will.

Depends on how you use your computer. In most cases, RAM would be the best bet. Re-post and explain your intended usage, then others who do the same thing can advise.

Yep, definitely the RAM. 1 GB is a good value for most people (using Linux -- for Vista multiply with four), and RAM is really inexpensive these days.

ram my son,256 is not enough..this will also allow you to adjust the ram share if you have on-board graphics..

256MB is the bare minimum for Ubuntu. 512MB would be better. If you are not going to play games then RAM would be the key.

I think 512mb of RAM is the recommended minimum.

So, I'd say grab more RAM!!
