New-ish Ubuntu guy here, with a few questions. Thinking of setting up my existing Windows XP installation with VirtualBox.

1. Is it as fast? I'm a gamer, and most games don't run up to speed with Wine.
2. Do drivers work as they did in XP? I'm using a Microsoft LifeChat and it's not compatible with Ubuntu, so I'm looking to still use it.
3. Is it dangerous? Can I seriously kasplode my computer?
4. Is it worth doing, or should I stick with my dual-boot setup and not bother?

1. No, it's not for gaming. Haven't tried, but I think most newer games wouldn't even run.
2. No. There are drivers for virtual hardware that do work. I am not at all familiar with LifeChat, but wouldn't be surprised it needed a driver to work. Does it?
3. No.
4. I think you need to dual boot, at least for games.
