View Full Version : subscribe to closed threads??

Hi, I often subscribe to threads, because I know that I will probably want to refer to the thread, because it has a definitive and clear solution to a problem.

However, it does not seem possible to to subscribe to threads which have been closed to new posts. It seems that threads which contain definitive solutions to problems are often closed.

Is there another way (other than search - which can take forever because of the volume of threads) to mark closed threads for later reference?

I can subscribe to closed threads with no problems.
Thread tools>Subscribe to this thread.
Then you can see it in your control panel.

Well I can't; hence this post!

I just get a page telling me I cannot subscribe to a thread which is closed for new posts.

You can bookmark it.

You can bookmark it.

Indeed you can, but I want a way to have it available on a fresh install of ubuntu! Obviously it works fine for open threads.

Copy your ~/.mozilla directory to your new home and all you settings will be there.

(.opera for Opera, etc)
