What happened to the search when posting a new thread?

Hi,

I am not seeing where the old "search" or suggested threads are anymore when making a new post.

In the past, I would put my subject in, then the top 4 closest matches would show up (sort of saying are you sure these dont answer) & then the message body would be there.

Half the time I would find things I couldnt find in the regular search.

Will that be coming back?

It cut down on at least half of my useless posts (and probably others as well).

We would like to bring it back, but it is server intensive. We have been testing out some other search options, beginning with the default vBulletin search (which didn't thrill us). Something is in the works, but we don't want to announce anything until we have tested and are sure it works.

Anyway, to answer your question directly, that is something we hope to restore. :)

The forum is excellent & thanks for administering it.

I figure that search, while processor intensive probably makes your setup less database intensive (as people like me dont post at the last moment).
