Ok about 2 weeks ago i started to have this issue and it has been occuring on and off as updates came though and it seems to be perminant now. When i launch an app with cedega it launches fine. However after i close the app and then try and relaunch that app or any other app with cedega it just hangs and the cedega process becomes uninteruptable and the only way to fix it is to reboot the pc. i cant kill that process no matter what. I am using the latest cedega 4.4.3 and i have ubuntu fully updated. Any ideas?

you're typing sudo killall wine and it won't end the process?

Or rather, "killall cedega" and/or "killall wineserver"
I have had this happen off and on for years, though it never seems to be predictable. :(

sudo killall wine always kills all cedega related programs for me, it's the only way I can ever get steam to close.

yea ive tried that. its really weird the process just wont die. it comes up as an uninteruptable process and only a reboot will fix it. I might try and reload breezy on my pc in a few days if i cant figure out how to fix it and see what that does.
