Changing the Places menu

How do I add and remove items on the Places menu?

Ubuntu 7.10 GNOME 2.20.1

Right click in the panel at the menu and chose Edit Menus.

That allows me to edit the Applications menu and the System meny, but not the Places menu.

i am not sure what it is that you want to edit but i removed the music/documents/videos from the list by deleting those folders out of my home directory.
