Don't know where to post this query but when I tried to post a question on the Apple Intel users section, I got the following message:

Comhra, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

I was a bit surprised but put it down to the fact that I was using Safari at the time; I certainly wasn't wasn't trying to do anything untoward.

All I wanted to know was if I could run a Linux Distro using Bootcamp.

What is the reason for the above message?

I've switched to Ubuntu now and I still can't post in that section.

Puzzling.

If that doesn't work, let me know.

I have checked your user account permissions and I didn't find anything unusual. You should be able to access and post in the area that LaRoza linked to.

What is likely is you were trying to post in the older, archive area. That area is closed to the creation of new threads, but still allows follow up posts in existing threads.
