CS:S Black screen

Ok so i go to play launch css from steam it launches show the loading screen then bam black screen i can move the cursor for about 5 seconds then it freezes.
Any ideas?

Hey, I don't have any experience with CS:S and wine, so far. but with WoW you get a black screen, if it tries to run some shaders with d3d.

anyway I guess you have to run the game with OpenGL, I don't know how to do this in CS:S, but I guess you could add -opengl in the launch command when you launch the game. for example, while in your cs dir, type this in the terminal:
wine css.exe -opengl

I dont know if css.exe is the name of the game file tho :P change it to whatever it is

Counter-strike source doesn't have an open gl mode lol its all direct x.
