I'm just going to dump this all here so I'm only have to keep track of a single topic which the community will be helpless to solve.

Even more sound issues present now with 8.04 that weren't there before:

1. Changing the volume sometimes randomly mutes the volume!
2. Changing the volume sometimes affects only one channel of the stereo!
3. I can no longer play Mupen64 games with Jttl's SDL plugin while listening to tunes in Quodlibet! (Installing libsdl1.2debian-all rather than -alsa sort of fixes the problem, in that I can now do the two things at once, but doesn't, in that the sound is laggy and crackly.)

Still present sound issues:

1. Low hissing present!
2. Master volume doesn't do anything; only PCM does!

...however, I am very pleased with 8.04 in that I have another brown wallpaper!

Any tips are welcome.
