Hey, I've seen around some shots of most beautiful Ubuntu GNOME desktops with some really sweet add ons, tried to look for them but I have been unable to, as I don't even know what they are called! In Windows they were called Desklets, maybe this is the case as well? Anyhow, I wanted the quick-launch bar that's showing at the bottom of this (http://stashbox.org/97243/2008-03-30-210257_1920x1200_scrot.png) screenshot, could anyone please tell me where to get it?
(and please, if it's not installed via Synaptic, please specify the console commands to install, I'm still green on the issue, thank you!)

Edit: also, is that a theme or custom? if it's a theme, how to get it?

I believe the dock at the bottom is called Avant Window Navigator. For instructions on how to install it, go here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=762363&highlight=install+awn. The theme appears to be a variant of this one: http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Elegant+Brit?content=74553

Excellent, thank you.

Now, I've downloaded a screenlet from this (http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/HAL9000+Screenlet?content=79649) place, I got a tar.gz compressed file, how do I install it?
Sorry but I feel very lost without Windows-type Setup.exe and such :)

edit: nevermind, I used
$ sudo apt-get install screenlets
and then from Applications :)
