View Full Version : [ubuntu] Hardy broke my ATI card

I have a laptop with an ATI Radeon IGP 340M (which is apparently the least supported graphics card ever). On Gutsy, I had managed to use atitvout to clone my display to my TV. Although OpenGL wouldn't work on the TV, video playback was flawless. After the Hardy update, running atitvout not only fails to activate my TV-out, it causes a constant and annoying flicker on my laptop screen that can oly be resolved by restarting the Xserver.

I'm using the open "ati" driver. If I try switching to fglrx and restart X, it crashes and rolls back to the ugly VESA driver.

Can anyone please help?
