SSH, the Keyring and my confused self

Hi everyone,

I just installed Hardy Heron and copies my ssh keys from my old installation to the new. Now, when I try to login via a terminal to a remote machine, a keyring requester pops up asking me for a password that I have no idea what it is!
Can someone explain to me what is going on with HH and ssh, what the differences are and how I can get by this keyring requester?

Apparently it is the passphrase for the private ssh key that it is requesting.
