I recently helped a friend install Ubuntu via Wubi on his VAIO laptop. However, we have been unable to connect to the Internet. We successfully installed a driver for his wireless card (Atheros AR2424a/b/g) via ndiswrapper, but there is no option to set up a wireless network within the network settings utility. We also verified that the card has been installed using ndiswrapper -l. Also, we were unsuccessful in connecting to the Internet by running a cable directly from his router.

Thanks in advance to all who can help.
