This happened on two imacs so far. This one here is a 333Mhx imac, I think 160MB ram, 6 GB hard drive, the basics. I installed 8.04...it went fine. It boots up jsut fine until the screen goes black....??

I have tried typing linux nosplash in the second boot prompt but that oes not make it any better than before. I can hit option+F1 and it goes to a command line and asks me to log in. I can then type commands. I tried sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg. It does with this computer what it did with the two others I tried it on...reconfigures it until I get to a screen where it asks for keyboard options and then after I hit enter, it says xserver-xorg warning: Overwriting possibly customized configuration file; backup in/etc/x11/xorg.cong. Below that it says, FATAL..Module battery not found???

Anybody know how to get 8.04 wotking??????
