emacs installation fails in 8.04

When I try to install emacs on a fresh Ubuntu 8.04 installation I get the following error. I tried to purge all packages involving emacs again and running "aptitude autoclean" and "aptitude clean" and install again, same error. I also found some related bug reports on launchpad but no solution. What can I do?

One thing you can try is this.
#sudo apt-get -f install

Try that and see if it helps. I have used that in the past.

I have the same problem (upgrade from 7.10 to 8.04)
Your sugestion didn't worked for me...Do you have any suggestion?

I have exactly the same problem! The sugestion above didn't worked for me either...
Any clue? Thanks in advance
