Hi,

Since I have upgraded to Hardy, I've been unable to get my linksys wireless card (broadcom chipset)to operate with the B43 firmware. I tried using ndiswrapper using a fix suggested elsewhere in this forum here (http://https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/Driver/bcm43xx/Feisty_No-Fluff) and it worked. However, on re-booting my computer, there is no wireless interface visible. The wireless card is working and I can now see my router when I click on edit wireless networks- but I can't connect to it because the computer doesn't see my wireless interface. When I run iwconfig, I just get this:

trev@trev-desktop:~$ iwconfig
lo no wireless extensions.

eth0 no wireless extensions.

trev@trev-desktop:~$

Any ideas on how to fix this would be much appreciated.

For further information, the output of ifconfig is as follows:

trev@trev-desktop:~$ ifconfig

trev@trev-desktop:~$

So the infterface is UP and working, but is not being recognised either by the nm-applet or by the network settings program.

Thanks for the help :),

I think I've sorted it now using a recent posting. It seems like a lot of people are having wireless problems after upgrading to Hardy!!
