Inspiron 530n, with 4 GB memory (3 GB usable)
My Ubuntu 7.10 system was fast and responsive. Now, after upgrading to Hardy Heron 8.04, it's sluggish. I type, and then the text catches up.
The System Monitor shows the CPUs to be running in opposite phases to each other (same as before), but now I show the peak at around 95%, as opposed to previously less then 40% peaks.
The process monitor (CPU %) shows only a small amount of CPU being used. The first 3 processes together use 16%, everything else showing 0%.
What's going on?
Anyone else having issues?
